Introduction
Variation simply means the way two people or animals of the same kind do not look or behave exactly the same way.
Variation refers to the differences in the genetic makeup or physical appearance (phenotype) of different organisms. In other words, variation is the differences that exist between individuals of the same species.
It is just the natural differences we see between brothers, sisters, or even animals of the same type.
Even though all humans have two legs and two eyes which makes us the same species, we still have small differences that make each person unique.
While members of a population share certain characteristics that help identify them as part of the same species, individual differences still occur among them.

This means that no two people are exactly the same in every single way.
These differences can come from a change in the body's building blocks, the way parents pass traits to their children, or the place where the person lives.
Variation can result from mutations, the recombination of genes during the formation of gametes, or environmental factors.
So, things like your DNA changing or your surroundings can cause these differences.
Types of Variation
There are two main types of variation:
1. Morphological or Continuous Variation
2. Physiological or Discontinuous Variation
