Geometry is the part of mathematics that studies different shapes and how they relate to each other.

It is just the study of points, lines, and various shapes like squares or circles.
Geometry can be divided into two main parts:
Plane Geometry
This part of geometry talks about shapes that are flat like a piece of paper.
Plane Geometry deals with flat shapes such as lines, circles and triangles.
You can draw these on a flat surface, and they do not have any thickness.
Sometimes, you may even hear people call them two-dimensional or 2-D shapes. This means that you cannot touch them or hold them on all sides like you would hold a football or a brick.
Solid Geometry
This part of geometry talks about objects that take up space, like things you can hold in your hand.
Solid Geometry deals with three-dimensional (3-D) shapes such as cubes, prisms, cylinders and spheres.
These are shapes like a tin of milk or a box of matches.
